NEPSE नेपालको एक मात्र stock exchange हो जसले secondary market का लागि investors हरुलाई नेपालका विभिन्न sector का publicly listed company हरूको share किन्ने र बेच्नको लागि platform provide गर्छ। यो कम्पनी Act-2063 अन्तर्गत स्थापना गरिएको हो र Act 2064 अन्तर्गत सञ्चालनमा रहेको छ।
NEPSE भनेको चाहि secondary market हो। यो market मा listed company हरुका सेयरहरू, Bond, mutual fund र अरु securities (धितोपत्र) हरु buy तथा sale गर्छ । Secondary market मा पहिले नै issued भएका securities हरू जस्तै (shareहरू) investor हरु बिच किनबेच गरिन्छ जसमा company ले नया share issue गर्दैन तर पहिले issue गरिएका share हरू मात्र trading (व्यापार) गरिन्छ । NEPSE को मुख्य main objective भनेको private र public sectors को securities हरुलाई खुला रुपमा public हरुलाई किन बेच गर्न मिल्ने बनाउनु हो।
NEPSE मा 2024 August सम्म 244 companies हरु listed भएका छन र 2024 september सम्म चाहि 92 वटा Broker हरु listed छन् ।
NEPSE मा कति ओटा र कुन कुन sector listed छन् त ?

NEPSE मा यी १६ वटा sectorsहरू मात्रै किन listed भएको?
Due to many reasons like;
1.Economic contribution: यी sector हरू नेपालका main economic sectors हरु हुन् जसले economic मा महत्वपूर्ण contribution गछन्। Investor’s हरूको interest र investment का लागि यी sectors हरु प्रमुख छन्।
2.Development of the security market :Nepal मा securities market को development भइरहेको पाइन्छ । विभिन्न sectors का कारण securities market develop गर्न help भइरहेको पाइन्छ।
3.Investors interest :Different sectors का investors हरुको interest का कारणले गर्दा पनि यी sectors हरुलाई बदी priority दिइन्छ।
4.Financial transparency :Listed हुने company हरुले राम्रो financial transparency देखाउनुपर्छ। यी माथी listed company हरुले प्राय financial reports हरु present गर्ने गर्छन् जसले गर्दा transparency पनि maintain हुन्छ साथसाथै investors हरुको confidence पनि बढ्छ।
5.Legal and Regulatory requirements :जुन company अथवा industries हरु जूनले मापदण्डहरू पूरा गर्न सक्छन् त्यो company हरू मात्रै listed हुन्छन्। यी माथि listed company हरुले SEBON र NEPSE द्वारा निर्धारण गरेको legal र regulatory standard set meet गर्छन् ।
Key sectors हरुको explanation
1.Preference share: Preference share ले both companies र investors हरुलाई liquidity improve गरेर, market confidence increase गरेर फाइदा पुराउँछ । केही company हरुले preference share प्रयोग गरेर थप capital जुटाउँछन् जस्तै shivam cement, Prabhu Bank Ltd, Nepal Investment Bank Ltd etc.
2.Commercial Bank: Commercial Bank NEPSE का listed भएर capital raise गर्न help गर्छ, liquidity बढाउन र rules regulation हरु पालना गर्न help गर्छ । यसले गर्दा नेपालमा Banking sectorको stability र growth मा योगदान पुर्याउँछन् । Example:Nepal SBI Bank, Sanima Bank, NMB , Global IME and so on.
3.Corporate Debenture: Corporate Debenture NEPSE मा listed गर्नुको कारण Public capital raise गर्न,investors हरुलाई liquidity provide गर्न हो। यस listing offerले loan लागत घटाउन help गर्छ। Example:shivam chement
4.Development Bank: यसले liquidity increase गर्न help गर्छ, public बाट capital raise गर्न help गर्छ र overall credibility र market presence improve गर्छ। Example: Garima Bikas Bank,Muktinath Bikas Bank etc.
5.Finance companies: Finance companies को main purpose नै capital raise गर्नु, overall credibility र market presence improve गर्नु हो।
6.Hotel and tourism: यसले capital raise गर्न, liquidity बढाउन साथ साथै नेपालको tourism sector को growth contribute गर्न help गर्छ। Example:soaltee hotel Ltd, Taragaon Regency hotel and oriental Hotel Ltd etc.
7.Hydropower : यसको purpose भनेको capital raise गर्ने, transparency growth गर्न र नेपालमा energy needed भए provide गर्न र economy growth मा help गर्न use हुन्छ । Example: Upper tamakoshi Hydropower Ltd, Radhi Bidyut company Ltd, chhyangdl Hydropower Ltd and so on.
8.Investment : NEPSEमा investment को main objective भनेको exchange मा listed शेयर र securities किनबेच गरेर फाइदा पाउनु हो।Example : sar bottam cement Ltd, himalayan Reinsurance Ltd , Muktinath krishi Company Ltd etc.
9.Life Insurance : Life insurance कम्पनीहरूलाई NEPSE मा listing गर्नाले capital improve, market visibility, investors हरूको लागि liquidity enhanced, र नियामक पालना जस्ता फाइदाहरू प्राप्त गर्न help गर्छ । Example : Nepal life insurance, Prime life insurance, Reliance life insurance, National life insurance etc.
10.Manufacturing and processing : NEPSE मा manafacturing र processing कम्पनीहरूको listingले तिनीहरूलाई capital raise गर्न, transparency सुधार्न, liquidity बढाउन help गर्दछ। यसले कम्पनीहरूको growth, financial health र नेपालको economy र financial markets हरूको develop मा help गर्दछ।Example: Arun vanaspati Udhyog Ltd, Nepal Khadya Udhyog Ltd, Nepal lube oil ltd, Shree Ram Sugar Mills Ltd and so on.
11.Microfinance : NEPSE मा microfinance companies listed गर्दा capital उठाउन, transparency बढाउन help गर्दछ। यसले competitiveness बढाउँछ, economic developमा help गर्दछ।
12.Mutual fund : NEPSE मा listed हुँदा mutual fund हरूले बढेको liquidity , transparency र ठूलो investor based आधारको फाइदा पाउँछन्, जसले यसलाई नेपालका investors हरूका लागि थप attractive र accessible बनाउँछ। Example: Sanima Equity Fund, citizens Mutual Fund-1, NIC Asia Growth Fund etc.
13.Non-life insurance : Non life insurance कम्पनीले capital raise , transparency growth , competition सुधार, र investor अवसरहरू प्रदान गर्ने काम गर्छ, जसले insurance sectors लाई बलियो बनाउँछ र नेपालको financial market को develop मा योगदान पुर्याउँछ।Example:Prabhu Insurance Ltd, Shikha – Insurance company Ltd , Neco insurance Company Ltd.
NEPSE का main sectors
NEPSE का main sector हरू नेपालको economyसँग गहिरो सम्बन्धित छन्। यी क्षेत्रहरूले नेपालको economic growth मा महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्छन्।
1.Hydropower :नेपालको नदीहरूबाट बिजुली generate हुने ठूलो सम्भावना छ | Hydropower sector ले देशलाई बिजुली उत्पादन र export गर्न help गर्छ, जसले economy मा very beneficial हुन्छ ।
2.Manufacturing and Production :Manufacturing ले Jobs हरू creates गर्छ र आफ्नै country मा goods हरु produce गर्छ जसका कारण विदेशबाट import गर्ने products हरु घट्ने गर्छ । यसले country को trade लाई balance गर्न help गर्छ ।
3.Insurance :Insurance ले individuals हरु अथवा businesses हरुलाई risk बाट बच्न help गर्छ ।
4.Tourism & hotels :Tourism को कारण विदेशी पैसाहरु nepal भित्रीने गर्छन्।जसका कारण economy activity मा growth हुन् help हुन्छ।
5.Banking and Financial institutions : Bank र financial institution हरुले loan र investment provide गर्छन् ।यो sector ठूलो भएकाले यसको growth ले country को economy development मा help गर्छ । यसले industries, businesses हरुलाई needed अनुसार capital provide गर्छन्।
Conclusion
NEPSE मा listed 16 वटा sectors हरूले नेपालको economic development मा महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाउने विभिन्न उद्योगहरूलाई समेट्छ। यी क्षेत्रहरूले investment opportunities provide गर्छ, बजारमा liquidity सुनिश्चित गर्छ, र देशको समृद्धि र stability मा योगदान पुर्याउँछन् जसले job creation, income generation र financial stability बढाउँछ। यी क्षेत्रहरूले नेपालको अर्थतन्त्रलाई रूपान्तरण गर्न, लगानी attractive गर्न र sustainable growthमा help गर्न महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्छन्।
